CVAP COUNSELLORS IN VANCOUVER (CRIME VICTIM ASSISTANCE PROGRAM COUNSELLING)

CVAP Counselling

The Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) is a government-funded program that provides financial assistance to individuals seeking counselling following traumatic events.

Several of our counsellors are registered therapists with the Crime Victim's Assistance Program and offer CVAP Counselling.

Please note that CVAP covers a portion of our fees ($135.00 per session). For clients that have the means, our counsellors request that clients pay the remainder of their standard session fee.

Connect Directly with a Counsellor who Offers CVAP Counselling Below, or have us help match you with a counsellor using our counselling match form.

If you have already been approved for CVAP funded counselling, and are interested in counselling with us, please contact us here to be connected with a counsellor for a free consultation and to book your first session.

CVAP funding isn't only for the person experienced harm.

If you're an immediate family member or witness to violence, including physical or sexual abuse in BC, you may also qualify for subsidized counselling.

Victim Service workers can walk you through the application and answer any questions along the way and can offer assistance applying for CVAP funding.

Not sure whether what happened to you counts? That uncertainty is common, and it doesn't have to stop you from reaching out. VictimLinkBC (1-800-563-0808) can help you figure out where you stand.
