Internship Opportunities

We currently offer 3 10 month practicum placements per year, with a commitment to seeing 10-12 clients per week accross 3 half days (9-2:30 / 3-8pm, or 12-5pm Saturdays/Sundays)

A 30-50 minute video sample of your counselling work with a mock client/peer is also required.

We prioritize intern applications from applicants with an interest or background in holistic health and wellbeing. New Tides offers administrative and group consult support with our Clinical Director Morgan McKusick, as well as individual supervision with a primary supervisor.

January 2027 practicum with Morgan: Full
We will be reviewing applications and conducting interviews in July, with a deadline of July 15
This placement will be part time (6-7 clients per week), with the possibility of full time for the right student

May 2027 practicum (TBD)
Depending on client needs, we may or may not be accepting a May intern this year. If we do, this placement will be part time (6-7 clients per week).

September 2027 practicum
We will be reviewing applications and conducting interviews in March, with an application deadline of March 1
