Internship Opportunities

We currently offer 2-3 10 month practicum placements per year, with a commitment to seeing 10-12 clients per week accross 3 half days (9-2:30 / 3-8pm, or 12-5pm Saturdays/Sundays)

If you are interested in pursuing a available internship with us, please review the information on our availability for practicum students below and send a resume and cover letter to connect@newtides.ca to connect with Morgan and/or our fall supervisor Rachel. A video sample of your counselling work with a mock client/peer is also required.

We prioritize intern applications from applicants with an interest or background in holistic health and wellbeing. New Tides offers administrative and group consult support with our Clinical Director Morgan McKusick, as well as individual supervision.

September 2025 practicum with Rachel: full
We will be reviewing applications and conducting interviews in April-May.

January 2026 practicum with Morgan:
We will be reviewing applications and conducting interviews in August-September, with a deadline of August 1st for submissions
This placement will be part time (6-7 clients per week), with the possibility of full time for the right student
