“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.”

- Carl Rogers

For many, there are times in life when it feels like we have lost our way.

During this time, perhaps you feel disconnected from who you thought you were… or who you want to be. You may be struggling to connect all the pieces of your ideal self, wishing that you could be more comfortable with your relationship to your body, your mind, or your emotions.

If you are feeling stuck or lost, it might feel hard to manage or or understand certain feelings you have. You know that something needs to shift, but it's hard to figure out what to do next.

We all experience challenges a bit differently… Perhaps your relationships are feeling strained, or maybe you struggle with a harsh inner critic, yet deeply wish there was more care and compassion in your world.  For many of us, memories of past experiences where you were judged or mistreated can also make it especially hard to reach out for support in times of stress.

Whatever brings you here, know that you are not alone and it is possible to feel like your true, embodied self again. I believe we all have the capacity to heal, transform and flourish.

How I can Help

My work is integrative and relational. I believe one of the most important foundations of an effective counselling experience is the connection, trust and safety that you feel with your therapist. This is also a process that I recognize can take time, energy and looks different for every individual.

In addition, I work from a person-centred, attachment and trauma informed approach. This means that in our time together we may explore a variety of experiences you have currently (such as concerns, thoughts, feelings, and sensations in your body). We will work together to recognize that many of the things we feel today can stem from experiences, beliefs, and/or relationships from our past.

Fortunately, human beings are dynamic and adaptive, and there are many tools we can use to help us release and move on from what may have kept us stuck. I strive to work alongside you, inviting in the expertise you have of your own life in order to find effective strategies that will best serve you and your counselling goals.  I also believe that our mind and body are intimately connected and therefore like to work in a way that helps us to better see and understand how you are feeling and thinking and relate it to what you feel in your body. Our time together is designed specifically for you and so I openly encourage feedback and direction.

My wish is that counselling leaves you feeling lighter, brighter, more self-aware, and self-assured.

I welcome diverse clients of all ages, cultures, genders, sexual orientations and abilities.
