Healing is not one size fits all.
What if you weren’t broken at all, but simply carrying stories that were never fully witnessed? What if your symptoms were signals, and your tenderness, a guide?
Healing is remembering you were never too much or not enough, just trying to stay safe in a world that didn’t always know how to meet you there.
Sophie offers Registered Clinical Counselling and EMDR. Please note that depending on your schedule, Sophie may have a waitlist.
Sophie currently offers in person and online sessions during the weekdays from 9am to 3pm.
It’s okay if you don’t have all the answers right now.
Maybe you’ve been keeping things together on the outside, while inside feeling unsure, disconnected, or worn out from trying to manage everything on your own.
You might notice patterns that no longer feel right for you, like ways of showing up in relationships that leave you drained, the pressure to be “enough,” or staying quiet when you wish you could speak up.
I support people who are ready to explore a deeper connection with themselves, with others, and with a life that feels more in line with who they truly are.
Therapy offers a space to slow down, be heard, and make room for what matters most to you.
Common counselling concerns, focuses & clients I love supporting:
High-Functioning Adults Who Feel Quietly Overwhelmed
Women Navigating Identity, Pressures to “Be Enough”, Academic Stress, Relationship Challenges, and Self-Doubt

Clients New to Therapy Seeking a Gentle Collaborative Start
A Bit About Me as A Counsellor
Clients often describe Sophie as thoughtful, warm, and intuitive, able to hold both the “mess and the meaning” of their experiences. Her sessions are collaborative, affirming, and grounded in deep respect for your pace and story.
Sophie supports clients in exploring not just what’s happening, but what it means. She gently helps illuminate the ‘choice points,’ those moments when we find ourselves doing things we never thought we would. Rather than leaning into shame or black-and-white thinking, she invites curiosity about what deeper parts of us are seeking to be known. She believes that growth often comes wrapped in messy or unexpected packaging, and she holds space for the messy middle, where old stories start to shift, and more honest versions of ourselves begin to emerge.
If you’re craving more ease in your relationships, clarity in your boundaries, or a deeper understanding of who you are, Sophie would be honoured to walk alongside you.
My Approach to Counselling
Sophie (she/her) is a trauma-informed counsellor who works from a relational and body-based lens. Her approach blends presence and practicality, offering a space where clients can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and gently shift patterns that no longer serve them.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, self-doubt, burnout, or relationship challenges, Sophie works collaboratively to help you explore your inner world with more self-compassion, clarity, and choice. A pivotal moment in her own healing came when a therapist reminded her, “You are not going to think your way through this; this is not a mind over matter situation.” That insight now informs her work, attuning not just to thoughts, but to nervous system cues, emotional patterns, and the deeper wisdom of the body.
Sophie is passionate about evidence-based practices that support nervous system regulation and foster lasting change in patterns and traits, not just temporary relief. Rooted in the science of therapy, she incorporates psychoeducation to help clients understand how small, intentional shifts can reshape the brain, calm the body, and create meaningful change over time.
